Christian Working Moms: Balance Work, Faith, & Motherhood

Christian working moms: it’s time to stop feeling guilty, exhausted, and out of balance.

And to be clear, “Christian working mom” includes: stay-at-home moms, work-from-home moms, work-outside-the-home moms, and everything in-between. We’re all doing work, just in different forms ((housework, office work, side hustles…) and for different monetary rates.

Work, when successfully balanced with faith and family, brings incredible joy. It deepens your relationship with Christ, strengthens your bond with your family, and increases your productivity and efficiency. The problem is, striking the balance can be incredibly difficult. Managing all of the things you have to do without sacrificing what’s most important can seem impossible. Trust me, I’ve been there.

Five years ago, I was thrust into being self-employed on someone else’s terms. It was a “refining through the fire” experience that has been a challenging journey, but one that I now know was orchestrated by God for my good. Since then, I’ve learned so much about how God wants me to bring him glory through my work, while doing the same in motherhood, and without losing sight of my relationship with Christ. I’ve taken what I’ve learned and put it into a free resource, just for Christian working moms like you.

Here’s an overview of the Jesus-Lovin’ Mom Boss e-course modules, built with Christian working moms in mind:

  • How’s your Foundation? | Examine the foundation that you’ve built your motherhood, work, and life in general on to determine if you need to strengthen what’s there before building higher.
  • Recalibrate: Defining and Measuring Success | Research how the world defines success versus how the bible defines success, then be brutally honest with yourself on how you are currently defining success. If recalibration is needed, we’ll do it together.
  • What Do You Do & Why? | Ask yourself the hard question, “why do you do what you do?” and then consider if you need to change what you are doing to fully utilize the gifts and passions God has given you.
  • Love What You Do (Even When It’s Not Fun) |Reflect on God’s work to learn how to handle your own work, and motherhood, when it’s hard and really not fun.

In this free, 5-day e-course for Christian working moms, you’ll also hear how I became a work from home mom who succeeds in business without sacrificing my time with God or family. You’ll come before God in worship and have directed quiet time with God’s Word at the end of every lesson.

Each lesson includes worksheets that reflect and brainstorm how you can improve the balance between your faith, motherhood, and work in biblical and practical ways.

Enroll in the FREE, 5-Day Jesus-Lovin’ Mom Boss E-Course and get instant access to videos, worship songs, bible reading plans, worksheets, and devotionals, written just for Christian working moms like you.

  • Defining measures of success. Such a helpful thing to do. Without that it’s so easy to just keep trying and trying and trying and no matter how much you accomplish you never feel like you’ve reached your goal. That’s exhausting. By the way, I love the name of your site. Messy tired love. Isn’t it always! Great post. Can’t wait to join the course.
